Should I Wear Sunscreen During Winter?

If you’re thinking about going barefaced during winter… think again. Even though the sun’s UV rays aren’t as intense as they are during summer, you still need to wear sunscreen during winter to prevent premature aging. Sunscreen is the number one anti-aging ingredient you need in your skincare regime, and without it, pigmentation, dullness and loss of firmness will eventually appear. Here are Aspect's Suncare products:

Should I Wear Sunscreen During Winter?

UVA: Ultraviolet A rays penetrate the skin deeper than UVB rays. It is responsible for early signs of aging such as age spots, fine lines and wrinkles. UVA can give you a tan but can also cause skin cancers, it can penetrate through clouds, glass and even clothes.

UVB: Ultraviolet B rays causes damage to the outermost layers of your skin. Damage such as redness, sunburns and in severe cases blistering. UVB can cause skin cancers and contribute to premature aging as it directly damages DNA.

Broad Spectrum Sunscreen: Protects your skin from both UVA and UVB damage on the skin.
